My name is Timo Hannelin.
I will start this diary as part of my ALMS - english studies but I think I might continue writing about languages in general.
So this will start as a boring diary, but if I have any spare time in future I will collect some interesting language facts here. This is why I choose #hashtags as the name of this blog, that just happens to be a quite new official english word missing from most dictionaries printed on paper, the meaning of the word gives me freedom later to add any topics I might be interested.
Main reason is to write in english and to have some practice in language. Plus this is obligatory part of my studies in University of Helsinki, where I study fenno-ugrian -languages. (Actually I am in a middle of chance of my major to theater-science.)
Secondary reason is my never ending interest about how people (and/or other animals) express themselves. How languages have evolved to their present stage and even what is about to happen after this period of time where we live. For example in these times there is also machines that can speak and will understand what you say. New problems will emerge: ( I know it is a machine, but do I really have a reason to trust it...? )
Yes, for some time I have been thinking about starting to write something about languages for english -speaking readers, but now there is actually some real reasons to do it and start this new blog.
Great, let's have some fun.
